Expanded Alliance Delivers Unparalleled Access to Construction Opportunities
Expanded Strategic Partnership Focuses on Innovative Solutions to Construction Industry
BURNABY, BC (June 22, 2011) – Reed Construction Data LLC (RCD), Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA), and Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) announced today that they are significantly expanding their alliance to deliver unprecedented benefits to construction Owners, bidders, and design professionals. The expanded partnership will integrate content and services through RCD products and BidCentral, an innovative solution for Owner and bidder workflow.
BidCentral is a suite of applications designed specifically around well-established construction industry processes including document management, pre-qualification, invitation to bid, project bidding, and an audit report for Owners.
Through the expanded agreement, VRCA and VICA will combine their BidCentral plans and specifications with RCD’s powerful Connect project news service and with the plans and specifications from RCD’s private Owner network. As a result of this integration, association members and RCD customers will receive unparalleled access to multi-stage opportunities, while construction Owners will benefit from leveraging the widest audience of quality potential bidders.
“Expanding our partnership with these two well-established organizations helps RCD provide the best content and services to the North American construction industry”, said Mark Casaletto, Vice President and General Manager, RCD Canada. “The partners have specific areas of skill, expertise, industry relationships, and content that will greatly benefit members and customers.”
“We are thrilled that RCD is fully aligned with the BidCentral model favouring Owner and bidder efficiencies”, said Greg Baynton, President of the Vancouver Island Construction Association. “The combined reach of our three organizations working together is unparalleled.”
“We are very excited about this latest enhancement to our partnership with RCD and pleased to work with VICA”, said Keith Sashaw President of Vancouver Regional Construction Association. “We have had a great relationship with our two partners for a number of years, and the construction industry has benefited significantly.”
The partners have signed an LOI and are currently implementing the functional aspects of the expanded agreement for market launch later in 2011.
