Barnhart Crane & Rigging buys Powell Companies’ crane division
KNOXVILLE, Tenn.
Barnhart Crane & Rigging and Powell Companies have reached an agreement under which Barnhart will purchase Powell’s crane rental division which has locations in Knoxville and Johnson City, Tenn.
Powell’s crane rental division has served the area for 40 years. Powell’s other companies consisting of Coal and Minerals Processing engineering/construction, Steel Erectors services, Decanter Machines, Inc, and Powell Technologies will continue to deliver the same high quality work their customers have come to expect.
Currently, Barnhart has 23 branches nationwide, including offices in Knoxville and Kingsport, and has one of largest equipment inventories in the U.S. including electronic steer Goldhofer trailers, cranes to 1,760 tons, sliding systems, strand jacks, and the Modular Lift Tower system.
Barnhart Crane & Rigging, established in 1969, is a leading national supplier of heavy lifting and transportation solutions.
